Convention Connections, Inc. (CCI) is a full-service convention, conference, and meeting planning company based in Richmond, Virginia. The company was founded with one goal in mind: to provide the most comprehensive and personalized service in the industry. The company’s growth has been spurred by this customer-focused approach. The service and respect shown to our clients is evident by their ongoing loyalty through repeat business. CCI’s current client list includes corporations, national associations, fraternal associations, law firms, accounting firms, large insurance companies and non-profit organizations from across the U.S.


Since its founding in 1994, CCI has successfully executed conventions, conferences and meetings of all sizes including large citywide conventions attracting 5,000 people to smaller, corporate board meetings for 20. CCI’s expertise includes performing comprehensive site searches, negotiating with hotels/convention centers/coliseums, coordinating hotel and other supplier arrangements, conference theming and programming, on-site management, creating and monitoring budgets, developing and monitoring task timelines and writing and coordinating mailing of conference correspondence. CCI was listed as one of the top meeting planning firms to watch by Convention South Magazine.

Diane Malloy

Principal and Founder

Diane Malloy is a seasoned hospitality executive with over thirty years of experience. She began her hospitality career with Marriott International Corporation. At Marriott International, she was recognized as one of the top salespeople in the Mid-Atlantic region numerous times and gained valuable experience in all facets of conference and meeting planning. During her tenure with Marriott International, she received the following awards and recognition: Outstanding Salesperson at the Richmond Marriott Hotel, Awarded three Tiefel Awards for dedication to excellence, represented the Mid-Atlantic Region on Marriott's National Sales Leadership Council, received the Marriott Cup for most enthusiastic and dedicated manager. Diane founded Convention Connections, Inc. in 1994 and has grown the company on the one premise of providing unparalleled customer service. "Our goal is to provide service to our clients that consistently exceeds their expectations. Our future as a company is directly correlated to the service we provide our clients." In 2019, Diane was recognized as the Virginia Meeting Professional of the Year by the Virginia Business Magazine.


Diane graduated from the Charles E. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Marketing.

Marty Malloy

Principal

Marty Malloy joined Convention Connections, Inc. in 1997 to assist with the dynamic growth of the company. With over twenty-four years of experience in convention, conference and meeting planning, Marty has been involved with all facets of meeting and conference planning during his tenure with the company. He handles all of the operational aspects during the execution of the meeting. "We understand how important the execution of a convention, conference or meeting is for our clients. This is the time when their organization shines. When a client hires us to assist them, they are adding another member to their team. It is our job to blend in with their team and provide the client with superior customer service." Marty's background as a CPA and Regional Controller for three real estate companies has been instrumental in growing and managing the operations of the company.

Nancy Crowe

Director of Administration

Nancy Crowe joined CCI in 2002. She brings over thirty years of hotel and convention management, and meeting planning experience to the team. Nancy began her hotel career with Hotel Sofitel in Chicago. She worked in many areas of the hotel, including food and beverage, revenue management, and as a member of the executive management team. In 1999, Nancy joined the Disney organization as an opening manager for DisneyQuest, an indoor interactive theme park. Prior to joining Convention Connections, Inc. Nancy was a Planning Manager for the National Association of Realtors®. As a member of the world's largest professional association, Nancy performed site selection and contract negotiations for conventions, conferences and trade expositions with as many as 25,000 attendees.

At CCI, Nancy performs all facets of meeting and conference planning for clients nationwide, with a focus on site analysis, site selection and contract negotiations. Nancy also coordinates all aspects of client site visits.



Nancy holds a B.S. in Marketing from DePaul University.
